Safety Management Committee
The Safety Management Committee comprised of officers of FIAC (Safety Management Organization) has been established for the safety of Fukuoka Airport to discuss whether the safety management activities are appropriate, proper, and valid.
Fukuoka Airport Safety Committee
The Fukuoka Airport Safety Committee has been established for the safety of Fukuoka Airport to bring airline companies, ground handling companies, and other related parties together to share information about the safety of Fukuoka Airport and improve the airport's safety management.
Safety Management Activities
Inspections of the Runway, Etc.
Prior to the start of airport operations, patrols are carried out to check for cracks or fallen objects on the pavement that could hinder the movement of airplanes and damage to airport markings or lights in order to assiduously prevent the occurrence and reoccurrence of accidents.
The runway, taxiway, apron, lights, and other airport facilities are regularly inspected, and irregular elements are repaired so that airplanes can take off and land safely.
Operation and Maintenance of Terminal Facilities
In order for all users of Fukuoka Airport to spend time safely and comfortably in the terminal buildings, facilities are inspected and maintained every day.
Prevention of Accidents by Vehicles Operated in the Airport
For the prevention of accidents by the various vehicles being operated in the airport, safety patrols and safe driving campaigns are carried out, and various forms of information are shared with airport personnel in order to assiduously prevent the occurrence and reoccurrence of accidents.
Countermeasures for Birds and Beasts
Bird patrols are carried out to remove harmful birds in order to prevent accidents caused by them crashing into airplanes.
Countermeasures for Drones
The fact that flying drones at Fukuoka Airport is prohibited has been made public and drones that could affect the operation of airplanes are monitored and handled in conjunction with related institutions.

Patrols in Terminal Buildings
FIAC, the police, airline companies, and other related personnel carry out joint patrols in order to inspect areas within terminal buildings that require attention for safety and security.
Fire Fighting and Rescue
For thorough preparation in the event of airplane accidents and emergencies that require prompt action, inspection and maintenance of fire trucks, nighttime training, fire drills that simulate airplane accidents, and training that simulates rescuing onboard crew and passengers are regularly carried out.
Training for Large-Scale Disasters
BCP and other forms of training that simulate the presence of evacuees in the facilities during large-scale natural disasters are carried out. (Sharing information with evacuees in the facilities, distribution of blankets and food, establishment of mobile phone charging spots, etc.)
